Foxwarren Jack Russell

Jack Russell's were originally bred to hunt foxes which, because of their small size, enabled them to hunt below ground just as easily as chasing above. We have been producing top quality working terriers for many years now and for the last 10 years we have bred dogs that are now performing extremely well in show rings throughout the UK and Europe.

We know just how popular this breed have become and get many requests for Jack Russell's as pets too. One of our pups goes to work each day at the Design Centre in London and we also have a dog owned by opera singer, a Duchess and one intrepid Jacky goes mountain climbing.

Eddie Chapman, Foxwarrens founder, is regarded by many as the country's premier breeder and authority for Jack Russell's. His knowledge and understanding of this breed, which he has The Beach Boys learnt and developed over the past 50 years, has been invaluable in the preservation of the Jack Russell terrier not only for the Foxwarren line but for the world's terrier community. He has travelled around the world, including America, Australia and Europe, giving seminars, visiting other breeders and has been asked to appear as judge in many world class show rings across the UK and abroad.

The Foxwarren bloodline has remained unbroken since 1940 and along with many unique pedigree records and photographs the kennel is still producing wonderful dogs. The kennels have become something of a shrine to visitors who love to look at the historic background and stories that accompany a Foxwarren dog. Jane Chapman, a keen photographer and Jack Russell expert, has produced some great photographs of the Foxwarren Jack Russell's which are now available to buy as greetings cards at the Foxwarren on-line shop.

Jack Russell's have boisterous natures, are acutely intelligent and are, in our view, never dull!
